A Donor Advised Fund is like a charitable investment account. It allows donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants to nonprofit organizations over time.

DAFs are offered by many financial institutions, including:

If you already have a Donor Advised Fund, recommending a grant is easy:

1. Log in to your DAF account.

3. Specify the amount and, if possible, include how you'd like your gift to be used.

4. Submit your recommendation.
